WE United, in collaboration with Electronic Specifier, is excited to announce the launch of a new industry survey. This survey is open to all talent within the electronics industry and related markets, providing an opportunity for individuals at every level to share their thoughts, needs, and aspirations. By gathering a diverse range of perspectives, we aim to create a clear understanding of the industry’s current talent landscape.

The purpose of this survey is to support the people and cultures of organizations that are driving global innovation. WE United is committed to ensuring that the voice of the workforce is captured and delivered responsibly to leadership within industry organizations.  This initiative aims to bridge the gap between employees and decision-makers, helping to shape a more inclusive and responsive industry.

The survey was first launched at the WE United Summit on September 11, 2024 and will continue to be distributed throughout the year at major industry events, including electronica in November 2024.

A detailed report on the survey findings is scheduled to be released in Q1 2025, which will offer valuable insights and serve as a resource for executives and leaders looking to advance people and culture strategies. This data will empower leadership to make decisions that align with the needs and objectives of their workforce, ensuring a more engaged and thriving industry.

Stay tuned for the first release of the inaugural Global Industry Workforce Report!

“Growing the WE organization in the direction of WE United has been a true honor and pleasure.

Our “why” for the mission has grown over the years. Our WE data in 2017 reflected about 15% women in leadership roles in the Electronics supply chain and in 2024 that percentage has not increased, and in some sectors, has deceased to 8%, which tracks exactly with the US national data.

The research overwhelmingly shows that gender parity increases relative returns by 19%. Beyond doing the right thing, there is a compelling financial case for inclusion as well.

Systemic change is long, hard, and painful, and requires a lot of patience and grace. We appreciate the support from sponsor organizations and the dedication of our membership community to unite for a common mission.

The WE Executive Team continues to work tirelessly to move the needle, and we thank everyone who has been a part of advancing our mission.”
