“I would encourage anyone to consider listening to that voice in the back of your head that’s interested in pursuing a new challenge, whether that’s a new role or any other leap in your life. It was difficult to step outside of my comfort zone and leave a job that I loved to try something new, but now I cannot imagine myself doing anything else,” stated Stengrim.

A Cuban-American economist and the Minos A. Zombanakis Professor of the International Financial System at Harvard Kennedy School, Carmen Reinhart is one of the most influential macroeconomists in the world. Former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, she has also served as Senior Policy Advisor at the IMF and Chief Economist at Bear Stearns. Her landmark book This Time Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly, co-authored with Kenneth Rogoff, remains the definitive study of recurring financial crises across history. Ranked among the top economists worldwide by scholarly citation, she has been named to Bloomberg’s Most Influential 50 in Finance and Foreign Policy’s Top 100 Global Thinkers. Her work on sovereign debt, banking crises, and capital flows has shaped policy at the highest levels of global finance.
